This research aims to identify the environmental impact of the Red Brick Industry on the population in Bahrah Governorate, and determine the problems that are faced by the population which gives us a comprehensive view of the environmental impact of the brick factories, and identify methods to dispose of problems, this will be done by saving the environment and public health in under the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030 and preservation of the environment by sustainable development.
To achieve the objectives of the research goals two approaches were used, descriptive analytical approach, and the environmental approach. Questionnaires were distributed and the sample size amounted to 383 surveys in the study population based on the statistical equation of Stephen Thompson. The air quality was measured in the study area.
The research reached several results and recommendation, the most important of which were:
1- The air pollution rates for emitted gases from red brick factories is within the allowed limit by the General Authority for Statistics and Environmental Protection.
2- The field study found that the red brick factories are located in the middle of the residential environment.
3- There are complaints about the presence of factories and requests for consideration of the matter by the competent authorities.
4- The questionnaire shows that the population in the study area suffers from chest and respiratory diseases because the factories smoke.
5- The study recommends the periodic measurement of air quality in the surrounding area of the factory sites. It also emphasized the necessity of moving factories to a new appropriate environment.
